BEHIND THE SCENES AT THE BIG GAME: THE NETWORK THAT MADE IT ALL POSSIBLE

Go behind the scenes of one of the world’s biggest sporting events to discover how the ANDREW team helped provide seamless connectivity, powering the unforgettable moments shared by millions.

As a sales professional, I’ve been in my fair share of high-pressure environments, but nothing quite compares to the being in the data center during of one of the world’s biggest sporting events. You realize in that moment that all the work you have done throughout the last year comes down to these 3 hours. Will the DAS be successful, did we do all we could do, did we miss anything?

The ANDREW team was here to help provide seamless connectivity, a task that might not make the headlines but is absolutely crucial to the game-day experience. From the press reporting live updates to fans sharing their moments on social media, the demand for reliable, high-speed data is at an all-time high. This wasn’t just about selling a product; it was about delivering an experience—one that had to be flawless.

A behind-the-scenes look at critical communications

As I walked through the data center, I watched as engineers monitored massive dashboards tracking network performance in real-time. Every second mattered. One glitch could mean a frustrated fan unable to upload or stream a once-in-a-lifetime moment. I realized that what we were providing wasn’t just connectivity; it was trust.

I also observed the amount of due diligence each carrier invested to make sure everything was tested and would perform at the highest level. The effort and energy poured into making this event a success was remarkable—hours and hours were spent in the weeks leading up to the game, but the preparation started a year in advance to make those four hours perfect. The level of dedication was beyond impressive.

The monumental demand for connectivity during The Big Game was at an all-time high. Inside the stadium, nearly 38 terabytes of data were consumed, and overall, customers used 93.5 terabytes throughout the event.

Building relationships under the brightest lights

Being at the heart of the action gave me a whole new appreciation for what we do. Selling isn’t just about numbers; it’s about relationships. Every interaction in this high-stakes environment was an opportunity to build trust and reinforce the value of what we bring to the table. When you help provide a flawless execution at an event of this scale, people remember.

The energy was remarkable, and the excitement from all who were involved was infectious. I observed firsthand how important executing on the biggest stage truly is. It wasn't just the effort and investment in the venue itself but also throughout the city to support the infrastructure required for an event of this magnitude.

There were moments when I caught glimpses of the game on nearby monitors, but what excited me most was seeing our solutions in action—watching our network handle massive amounts of data without a hitch. It reminded me why I do what I do. At the end of the day, being a part of something bigger, knowing that our technology helped make millions of unforgettable moments possible, is what truly matters.

Representing ANDREW at an event that draws worldwide attention was an honor and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. And for a salesperson, there’s no better win than that.
